Why use a Divorce Support Advisor or CDC®?

A Divorce Support Advisor or CDC® can assist with decision-making, emotional support, communication strategies, co-parenting plans and organizing legal and financial documents. I will help you stay focused, reduce stress and make informed decisions.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone responds and adapts to major life changes differently, so there is no way to really know. That is why we offer two different packages to start, along with additional individual session add-on’s if necessary. Refer to the “Package” page for more info on our packages and rates.

Are our sessions confidential?

Yes, our sessions are confidential, except as required by law.

What is your cancellation policy?

A 24-hour cancellation notice is required to not be billed for a session. A client can cancel their coaching agreement at anytime with written notice via email without a refund for unused sessions. Please include your last desired coaching session date in your email.

What is the difference between a divorce coach and a therapist?

A therapist focuses on emotional healing and mental health, while a divorce coach provides practical guidance and support specifically related to the divorce process. They complement each other but serve different roles.

How do I know if I need a divorce coach?

If you feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck during your divorce, a divorce coach can provide clarity, structure, and support to help you move forward confidently.

What happens during a discovery session?

During a discovery session, the coach assesses your situation, discusses your goals and challenges, and explains how they can support you through the divorce process. It's an opportunity to see if the partnership is a good fit.

How long does coaching typically last?

The duration of coaching varies depending on individual needs and the complexity of the divorce. Some clients may need only a few sessions, while others may benefit from ongoing support throughout the entire process.

Do I still need a lawyer if I have a divorce coach?

Yes, a divorce coach does not replace the need for legal representation. They work alongside your lawyer to provide additional support and help you manage the non-legal aspects of your divorce.

Can a divorce coach help with high-conflict situations?

Absolutely. A divorce coach is trained to handle high-conflict situations and can provide strategies for managing difficult interactions and reducing tension.
